In
The New Capitalist Manifesto, economic strategist Umair Haque argues
that business as usual has outgrown the old paradigm of short-term
growth, competition at all costs, adversarial strategy, and pushing
costs onto future generations. These outworn assumptions are good for
creating only “thin” value—gains that are largely illusory and produce
diminishing returns every year.
Haque
details five cornerstones to achieve the new “thick”
value—enduring,
meaningful, sustainable advantage that deeply benefits the larger
society and will ensure prosperity into the 21st Century.

Ultimately,
the question also arises as to what the management consulting industry
can do to keep the engine going and provide valuable guidance to the
clients and institutions that are dependent on our ideas and work to be
successful.
Join
the interactive roundtable with AMCF's Board of Directors with
reactions to the keynote presentation and a discussion of the major
